Abstract: Black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) is a fast growing tree species native to temperate North America, and widely diffused and naturalized in Europe. It is one of the candidate species for establishing bioenergy plantations on marginal lands in temperate and sub-Mediterranean regions. The occurrence of system separations in the power system of Continental Europe has been observed in recent decades as a critical event which might cause power imbalances higher than the reference incident specified per system design, representing an actual challenge for the stability and safe operation of the system. This work presents an analysis and simulations of the primary frequency control in the Continental Europe synchronous area in conditions of system separation. Abstract The system studied is a plane channel in which one of the two vertical walls is kept at an arbitrary temperature profile and may be partially or completely wet by a falling liquid film, while the opposite wall is adiabatic. Air from the environment flows along the channel with a mass flow rate which depends on the balance between hydraulic resistances and buoyancy forces. An exact algorithm for the min-cost network containment problem

A network design problem which arises in the distribution of a public utility provided by several competitive suppliers is studied. The problem addressed is that of determining minimum-cost (generalized) arc capacities in order to accommodate any demand between given source–sink pairs of nodes, where demands are assumed to fall within predetermined ranges. Feasible flows are initially considered as simply bounded by the usual arc capacity constraints. Then, more general linear constraints are introduced which may limit the weighted sum of the flows on some subsets of arcs. This study examines the love of money and work‐related attitudes and identifies four money profiles based on a sample of citizens in the Republic of Macedonia. Achieving Money Worshipers (the highest scores on Factors Success, Motivator, and Budget and the lowest on Evil) had the highest active involvement in work activities.
